The Maramon Convention, the largest annual Christian Evangelistic
Convention in the World, is conducted annually since 1895 on the banks of
the river Pampa, near Kozhenchery, in the month of February every year on
the sand bed stretches of Pamba River below the Kozhenchery Bridge. Special Panthal will be erected to accommodate about 2 Lacks people. Maramon
Convention is organized by the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association, the
missionary wing of the Mar Thoma Church.

People from all around India gather here to receive the Word Of God into their hearts. Renowned preachers from all over the world has come here to sow the seeds of goodness into the hearts to these faithful. Immensely motivated, people go forth with high spirits to renew the face of the church. Maramon is also famous as the birthplace of Palakkunneth Abraham Malpan, a 19th century leader of the Syrian Church of Malabar.
Along with the religious discourse, special prayers for indisposed are also held. On these days special Bible classes takes place also separate Bible classes for different age groups. Separate sessions to abstain from alcoholism, drugs and more are taken. As a response for the call to built up the church people go forth dedicating their lives in service of the Lord.
